  • Professional Background
    Jay Henson founded HensonFoley in May 2000. After 12 years’ experience at two large local firms (LandDesign and Little), Henson found the need to establish a consulting firm specializing in personal client attention and include the elements of Land Planning, Landscape Architecture and Civil Engineering. Upon establishing HensonFoley, Henson has approximately 33 years’ experience on numerous planning, rezoning and construction documents that include commercial, residential, civic, schools, athletic facilities, industrial, and park projects. Jay is typically involved in all phases of design, rezoning, construction documentation, site-permitting and construction administration.

    I enjoy playing music with several bands (banjo, pedal steel guitar, and guitar), competition BBQ, and escaping to the mountains for outdoor adventures!

    Tim Foley has over 28 years of experience in the Charlotte/Rock Hill region.  Recently, Tim has spent the majority of his time with the Galleria Mall Redevelopment, Large Mixed-Use and Subdivision design.  Specific roles include site planning, site analysis, utility analysis, water and sewer extension projects, roadway design, erosion control, storm drainage and BMP design, and earthwork analysis.  Tim has also been very active with high-profile projects in Charlotte/Rock Hill while meeting with government agencies and elected officials for implementing policy changes.

  • Personal Interests
    In my free time, I typically spend a lot of time with family on Lake Norman cruising around on our pontoon boat.  In addition, I spend a lot of time on home projects.

Shellie Bradshaw

    Shellie has a background working in the non-profit industry as well as holding marketing roles with various organizations that support the local community.  She is one of the founding board members of “Keep it in the Valley,” a scholarship foundation that provides scholarship funds to students planning to attend her hometown community college, Wenatchee Valley College.  She has also been affiliated with the IAFP (International Association of Fundraising Professionals).

    My two teenagers keep me more than busy!  However, any free time hopefully includes yoga, reading, and relaxing by sunshine and the ocean. I also enjoy interior design/decorating and refurbishing “diamonds in the rough”; it’s amazing what chalk paint can do.

    I am really passionate about history, health and fitness, and spending time with friends and family. For fun, I enjoy playing electric guitar, hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time outdoors.

    Tess has worked on numerous projects including numerous commercial and athletic complexes.  Specific duties include site due diligence, Tree Protection Plans, Site Plans, Erosion Control/Grading Plans, Site Utility Plans and Landscape Plans.  In addition to the plan preparation, Tess is heavily involved in the site permitting phase through local Towns, Counties, and State agencies.

    I really enjoy visiting all the different restaurants and breweries Charlotte has to offer! Outside of city life, I love going to the lake or to the mountains for some of my favorite things, kayaking, hiking, and camping.
